Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Tonifies, activates and harmonizes the Blood.
With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
with Chai Hu and Bai Xiao, for Liver Qi Stagnation and Blood Deficiency.
With Chuan Xiong, harmonizes, nourishes and activates the Blood and disperses Blood Stasis.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 3-10g Activates the Blood and promotes the movement of Qi.
With Sheng Di Huang, Bai Shao and Dang Gui, for headaches due to Blood Deficiency.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao   Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin and calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind.
With Chai Hu, for flank pain due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
With Dang Gui, nourishes Yin and Blood.
Rx. Angelicae Dahuricae Bai Zhi 3-10g Expels Wind, eliminates Dampness and alleviates pain.
With Chuan Xiong, for headaches.
With Huang Qin, for Wind-Heat headaches.
Dry-fried (with liquor) Rz. Anemarrhenae Chao Zhi Mu 6-12g Clears Heat, drains Fire, nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness, generates Fluids and clears Deficiency Fire.
With Huang Bai, clears Heat and Drains Fire for Yin Deficiency Fire.
Dry-fried (with liquor) Cx. Phellodendri Chao Huang Bai 3-12g Drains Damp-Heat especially from the Lower Jiao and drains Kidney Fire.
Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 6-15g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi.
With Chai Hu, for Qi Stagnation and menstrual irregularity.
With Chai Hu and Bai Shao, for pain and distention in the chest and flanks.
